A little bit about Me.
My career has always centred around people, organisation and communication — three things that I genuinely enjoy and that have shaped the way I work today.
My background includes working within private healthcare as a medical secretary at a private mental health hospital, where I worked alongside private consultants (both adult and CAMHS) and supported the day-to-day running of their practices. I later worked within a private cancer treatment centre as a Patient Care Administrator & Secretary, helping to coordinate the patient pathway and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. Alongside this, I have experience supporting various surgeons from aesthetic practice to private hispital care.
Working in these environments taught me that being a good medical secretary is about far more than just administration. You're often the link between the consultant, the patient and the wider healthcare team, and being organised, approachable and dependable can make a genuine difference to everyone's experience.
Alongside my healthcare background, I also have professional experience within Human Resources. This has strengthened my skills in communication, organisation, confidentiality and managing sensitive information — all qualities that I bring to my work today.
Why I Chose to Work Independently
I created my business because I wanted to combine the parts of my previous roles that I enjoyed most with a more personal and flexible way of working.
I enjoy getting to know how someone works, understanding what they need from me and becoming a trusted person they know they can turn to. Working independently allows me to offer that more personal approach and build genuine, long-term working relationships with the professionals I support.
I'm naturally organised, conscientious and someone who takes pride in doing things properly. I also understand that when you're trusting someone with an important part of your practice, reliability matters.
For me, this isn't about providing a one-size-fits-all service. It's about becoming a trusted extension of the practice and providing the kind of support I would want to receive myself.
Outside of Work
Away from my desk, I'm a keen reader and writer, with a particular love of fiction and fantasy. I'm also a pianist and have always enjoyed creative pursuits.
Having that balance is important to me, and it's one of the reasons I chose to build a business around a more independent and flexible way of working.
